FILM OF THE MONTH
NEVER STAND ON A DECKCHAIR - BY DEAN WILSON
Film by Dave Lee
Dean: 'We'd made a couple of films and Dave said it was about time we did one of what is probably my most well-known poem. He suggested the Spa at Scarborough and it turned out perfect. We shot it in February, so there was no-one about and everything looked so beautiful.'
Dave: 'I knew I wanted to do a film of Deckchair and the Spa seemed an ideal location. When I rang them to ask permission to film, I think they thought I was a bit daft. We shot it in about half-an-hour and I knew it'd be good as we shot but when I got back to the edit suite and took the colour out of the footage, I was amazed how stunning everything looked. The clouds look amazing.'
THIS POEM APPEARS ON DEAN'S LIVE CD
THIS POEM IS PERFORMED ON THE ALBUM BEACHFINDS
